We Made The Right Decision Opting For The Royal Tent

My husband and I were newlyweds and due to go on our honeymoon.  He is always trekking outdoors and as we didn’t have a lot of money left over from the wedding, we decided that we would travel up to Scotland and go camping.

My husband and I went shopping for tents I was quite happy to get something small and cosy for the two of us but my husband had other ideas, he wanted to choose something big enough for when we have children.  He loves the whole idea of camping and was like a kid in a toy shop.

We settled on an 8 berth royal tent, we brought it there and then.  Once we got home my husband insisted on testing it out in the back garden he was so excited I couldn’t say no. It didn’t take too long and once the royal tent was up it was pretty impressive, we were going to have plenty of space that’s for sure.

My husband was so impressed with his purchase that we had to sleep in the tent that evening.  There were two large sleeping areas and the living space was huge.  There is a large porch to the front of the tent which creates even more space in the living area and a reasonable size annexe to the back.  The lounge area had a zipped up flat sheet.  After a comfortable night sleep we packed it away ready for our trip to Scotland.  The tent was easy to pack away.

It was time to make the journey to Scotland and my husband was like a child on Christmas day.  Our royal tent was packed away in the trailer and the drive was going to be a good 5 hours.  Once we arrived we set to work on pitching the tent, because we had already practised putting the tent up it was just that little bit easier to assemble. We were camping for 10 days in Scotland and experienced all sorts of weather sun, rain and wind the tent stayed dry and in one piece thanks to the side windbreak panels which gave us extra protection.  We were never too cold or to hot just nice and cosy.

Although at first I probably wouldn’t have chosen the royal tent,  I must admit my husband made an excellent choice and hopefully in the future our children will be able to enjoy this tent with us after all that is why we purchased it.
